Apple just announced they are stopping the production in India for iPhone 6, I believe they are currently the Best Phone Under 200.
I still miss the time that everyone rushed to get the latest iPhone after Apple’s launch event every September. With less and less innovation and breakthrough, it only gets lower attention in recent year for Apple.
When I look at an iPhone 6s plus still runs with iOS 12, I was amazed. And it gets a touch ID to run for unlocking and Apple Pay if you are tired of face ID.

Design & Display
iPhone 6s plus is the first big screen for Apple fans. Back in 2015, people like you and me, we were using 4″ phones as our daily driver for errands.
Apple read our mind and launched a 5.5″ iPhone 6s plus which made the quickest sales and reached 13m iPhones in first three days after iPhone 6s & 6 plus released orders. What an impressive achievement that Apple ever made.
iPhone 6 family looks the same to me, but I could only tell from the screen sizes. The bigger iPhones get a “PLUS” after the name.
The screen’s PPI on iPhone 6s plus was higher than iPhone XR. It means that the color you see on iPhone 6 plus is way more sharp and vivid than iPhone XR. Surprise, right?

iPhone 8 plus & iPhone 7 plus & iPhone 6 plus: 401 ppi
iPhone XR & iPhone 7: 326 ppi
Camera
Since iPhone 6, Apple always has bumps around the camera set.
iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 plus are with 8.0 MP main camera while iPhone 6s & 6s plus are with 12.0 MP camera. Without the secondary camera, it cannot be used for Bokeh mode or you call it background blur.
Only iPhone 6s plus gets OIS(Optical image stabilization), it helps you to take photos without getting many possibilities of blurring.
I am the kind of person that couldn’t hold my phone still and take blurred photos quite often. With iPhone 6 plus, it reduces the frequency and occurrence of a blurred photo taken by me.
Apple adds two killer-level features for the camera which are Slow-Motion and time-lapse. Both are something that we are very familiar with.
But back in 2015, it was so much fun and everyone shares the video on any social media platform.
Touch ID
You get tired of Face ID, no problem. Let’s talk about Touch ID.
I feel a lot of times that Touch ID is faster than Face ID since the only thing you need to do is press your finger on the home button.
For Face ID, I know it gets improvements after iPhone X released in 2017. It learned to recognize your face step by step and get smarter to unlock your phones. In the latest video from Apple, you could even unlock your phone with one single eye.
I like Touch ID more than Face ID since all the scientific research shows it’s not possible that your fingerprint would be the same with others. But we heard it a lot that one of the twins could simply unlock the other’s iPhone with a look, right?
So, I kinda hope one day Apple could bring back Touch ID and maybe implement it with an on-screen fingerprint scanner, I would be very happy!

Downsides
Top#01 RAM
While we get used to 12GB RAM in some 2019 flagship, you will find the 1-2 GB RAM is very obviously not enough. Those apps that you use daily are also getting bigger and bigger.
If you purchase one of iPhone 6 family members, you might get slower experience.
Top#02 No upgrade at all?
Except for the camera on iPhone 6s plus, the rest seems like no upgrade from iPhone 5 family?
I know Apple adds one more GB RAM and upgrade the camera from 8.0 MP to 12.0 MP, but for the hardware part, it seems that Apple didn’t try that much to get them together with one step.
Apple upgrades a little bit on each iPhone every year, and we always want to see more from them.

Conclusion
I love the idea in 2014 and 2015 that Apple tried to add 1GB more for the RAM and add more pixel for the camera, but that’s the time when Android ran even faster than ever to compete in the flagship games.
We all expect a super powerful that Apple could make to “WOW” us again, and I hope that day is approaching.
